What was impact of COVID on Hemoglobin A1C testing?

Hemoglobin A1C testing in March and April of 2020 fell by 66% at one point and then rebounded slightly according to this study in Population Health Management.

Missed A1C testing will likely result in worsened A1C control, which is associated with worse health outcomes for patients with diabetes.
